Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) continues to deal with a cyber security incident.
As a result, BRHS experienced and continues to experience a range of IT issues.
BRHS wants to ensure the community is aware no appointments or surgeries are being cancelled; if you do not have an appointment, particularly at Ross Street Campus or CBD Campus, call to confirm your appointment; and patient and staff data has not been accessed.
In a statement, BRHS thanked the community for their patience and understanding and said staff are executing the business contingency plan in place for such an event.
In such situations, staff revert to manual paper-based systems to maintain services.
“While it is largely business as usual for patients and visitors, with paper-based record keeping replacing internal IT systems for the moment, there may be some delay to services. The understanding of patients, visitors and community during this time is much appreciated,” the statement said.
