National champions

Lucknow girls Tayah McNaughton and Bella Hodder returned from competing for Victoria at the 2018 School Sport Australia 15 years and under girls national football championships in Adelaide as champions.

The Victorian team took out a thrilling grand final against a strong New South Wales to remain the undefeated national champions.
The competition was tough and fast with only one loss to Western Australia early on and four wins against Queensland, the ACT, South Australia and New South Wales in the grand final, watched by a large and boisterous crowd.

Both girls played extremely well scoring some vital goals with some daring play. Hodder also came away with Victoria?s most improved player award for the competition.
The girls would like to thank the Lucknow Junior Football Club and Gippsland Power for the effort and time they have invested in their development.
