100 years young

Nell Tobin celebrated 100 years of life with a small group of family and friends at a Stratford café last Thursday.
Mrs Tobin, who was born and bred in Stratford, was looking forward to a large party last Sunday, but COVID restrictions meant it had to be cancelled.
Mrs Tobin was the second child for Ernest and Annie Redman, born on August 5, 1921.
She was a little sister for first born, Margaret.
Mrs Tobin’s father, known locally as Ern, was a road contractor with his brother, Percy.
